Our teaching department...
Music Education is the reason there is a Northridge Music. Our founders, Laurie and Joe Teresi both come from the music teaching field. Laurie was a successful piano teacher prior to taking on the responsibility of running Northridge Music. Her studio included over 50 private piano students per week. Joe's teaching experience was over 24 years as a public school music teacher, working with high school and middle school band and choir. Our current managers Chris Teresi and Melinda Frost (Teresi) grew up playing in school bands and choirs and Chris taught bass during the 70's and 80's at the store.
From the first day of their ownership of Northridge Music, there has been an emphasis on students. Our teachers have come to us from a variety of sources i.e. C.S.U.S music students and graduates, former students of Laurie and/or Joe, G.I.T. graduates. and current or retired school music teachers.
